2. Eligibility

3. Your Account

You agree not to use Proximate for illegal, harmful, misleading, or abusive purposes. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
5. Location Services
Proximate uses approximate location data to display nearby users. Exact coordinates are never publicly shown. Data is stored securely according to South African law.
6. Privacy & Data Protection

7. European User Rights (GDPR)
If you reside in the EU or Switzerland, GDPR rights apply. We act as the Controller when handling your personal information.

All branding, designs, and software belong to Proximate. Do not copy or distribute them without permission.
11. Service Availability
We aim for uninterrupted service but cannot guarantee uptime, error-free performance, or compatibility with all devices.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms. You may delete your account anytime through the app or by contacting us.
13. Limitation of Liability
Proximate is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including interactions between users. Your sole remedy is to stop using the Service.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Proximate from claims arising from your misuse of the platform or violation of these Terms.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates means you accept the new Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in South African courts unless otherwise required by international law.
